Dhoom 3 (Music review), Hindi – Pritam & Julius Packiam

The title song‘s 3rd variant is more glitzy, pointless sound the original tune; Naya’s Arabic version feels mildly different thanks to the language. Malang sounds safe – throws in Middle-Eastern exotica, familiar sufi to concoct an easily catchy song. Kamli holds some frenzied and innovative orchestration, while conforming to YRF’s Punjabi guidelines. Mohit Chauhan carries the flamboyantly assembled tune and sound of Tu hi junoon well, while Dhoom tap is meant only for the screen. Of the 2 tracks by Julius Packiam, the Dhoom 3 Overture is better than the assembly-line kids’ chorus in Bande hain hum. Dhoom-free soundtrack, this.
