Hariharan’s dependable vocals join the composer’s inventive use of guitar and sax in Adikkadi, a rather simplistic, but catchy track. Vaargodhumai kaL sees lyricist Madhan Karky making imaginative use of Tamil, right from the pure Tamil equivalent of beer; even the funky tune is a perfect native version of the mod party song! Nee indri, features the composer in a ballad amidst lovely guitar work. Ditto for Iravugalil…its serene guitar-backed start paving way for even better, pulsating guitar; Karthik aces the vocals, as usual. C.Sathya’s music in Ponmaalai Pozhudhu is capable, but leaves us wondering if there’s more to him.
