Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster (Music review), Hindi – Assorted composers

Posted by Karthik

Jaidev Kumar’s Jugni is a funky remix of the classic tune, sung hyper-enthusiastically by Babbu Mann, while Sunil Bhatia’s Chu chu fares better in Debojit Saha ‘s acoustic version, than in Parthiv Gohil’s normal version! Amit Sial’s Main ek bhanwra and Abhishek Ray’s Raat mujhe are reminiscent of 80s parallel films’ music and are wonderfully appealing. Anuj Garg’s I love to love you is a cool reworking of Pancham’s style, with Rekha Bharadwaj’s unrestrained singing. Mukhtar Sahota’s pathos-laden Ankhian and Ankit Tiwari’s seemingly-hip-but-trite Saheb bada hatila don’t work, however. Tigmanshu Dhulia extracts engaging music from five of his seven composers!

Keywords: Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill, Randeep Hooda, Jaidev Kumar, Sunil Bhatia, Amit Sial, Abhishek Ray, Anuj Garg, Mukhtar Sahota, Ankit Tiwari
