Azhagaana ponnuthaan‘s remix rides solely on the original’s strength as a hyper-catchy track, while the predominantly rap-loaded title song is a curiously likeable track – Dinesh Kanagaratnam impresses even with his lesser role compared to Blaaze! Indha vaanam is an extremely interesting composition, juxtaposing a slow’ish, pleasant melody and an energetic anupallavi; Hariharan and Anuradha Sriram do a lovely job here. Thevaaram‘s eerie backgrounds are largely incongruent to the classical material it tackles, while Sudhandhiram gets its orchestration right, but fails in its actual tune, which just goes haywire. Katradhu Kalavu, along with Kathai, shows that Paul J is evolving!
