I love you is vintage Anu – a gentle, mellow sound, albeit with clichéd lyrics. Anu’s vocals and the intentional extra twang in his singing grates on my nerves in Baby I love, though it, along with a zingy background and childishly fragmented tune, does fit the Krishnan Iyer Yum.Yay image of Mithun da! I love you’s another version, Tum kaun ho, lacks the simple lilt of the former. The assortment of 5 oldies from Mithun starrers are pulp, nostalgic indulgences, especially the Jackson-inspired Jeena bhi kya, with Bappi ‘meezik’ Lahiri’s singing! Don Muthu Swami’s collection is jolly good fun!
