Both versions of Qatra are rhythmic and catchy. Its a predictable tune enveloped in a hip hop pattern and makes for good listening. The technopop Pyaar bina is groovy but more Pritam-ishtyle. Jeene do is modelled on Queen’s We will rock you, but just modelled! Lori has distinct Rahman’ish flourishes. While Janam janam is a drab ad jingle-like family song, the Family theme is equally drab with choirs and a new age sound. And, Quick byte is better seen than heard. Khakee did showcase what Ram Sampath is capable of within a commercial framework, which he repeats impressively in Family.
