Actor Aadhi seems fairly in-tune in the reggae’ish Sokkana ponnu, though his diction is occasionally atrocious. Papparapampam is passable, with it using a droning template with outdated rap phrases. The composing trio had Harris Jayaraj’ish songs even in their debut, and the short, pleasant Nee sonna falls in that pattern too. Singari sokku lady gets its racy rhythm right, with Krishna Iyer leading the vocals well. Oozhi koothu’s hymn-like sound is interesting, but that’s it. Thozha and YNK theme barely pass muster. Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka’s music is a shade below Prasan Praveen Shyam’s debut, and that’s not saying much, incidentally.
