Offo goes back to the trio’s Dil chahta hai days, riding well on a heady hook and extra melody in the antaras. Locha-e-ulfat is punchy in all aspects, the rhythm, hook and the prominent instrumental piece. Mast magan holds the trio’s Dharma-trademark besides an awkward mridangam interlude, but the vocals by Arijit and Chinmayi make all the difference. Despite the techno-infused liveliness, Iski uski is too Dharma-templatized, while Mohan’s sonorous voice and the soulful orchestration carries the pensive Chaandaniya impressively. Milkha soundtrack escapee Hulla re plays up Vakulabharanam raaga’s Punjabi variant brilliantly! Barring minor Dharma-annoyances, good stuff from the trio.
