Shortcut Romeo (Music review), Hindi – Himesh Reshammiya

Pe pe pe is authentic Himesh, riding on one childish hook; his vocals making it even worse. Khali salam is saved by Mohit Chauhan – functional tune, with thankfully minimal backgrounds. Himesh and Vineet decide to torture together in Ishq gangster… or, gangushtarru; the music is not bad, but gets mauled by the atrocious singing. The title song is a juvenile mix of Ash King’s Himesh impersonation and occasional sax, set to a droning rhythm. Mika gets the most tolerable song of the soundtrack, Jave saari duniya, thanks largely to the catchy rhythm. Himesh steadfastly holds on to his unbearable form.
