If there’s anything in recent times that deserves the ‘Blast from the Past’ tag, it’d be the new Rang soundtrack. While everything is consistently a decade old, Abhijeet’s Ye meri dua and Babul Supriyo’s Ye to mumkin ji nahin are actually good in a nostalgic way. Khuda ki kasam tries hard but is embarrassingly repetitive, while Sonu’s Hum the tum the and Ishq na mange are plain embarrassing. The emotions Hawa na ye paigham evokes is anything but pathos, while Aaye ho abhi is only a showcase of how bad a singer Sareeka Kapoor is. Why dig up the dead?
