Mujhse Fraaandhsip Karoge (Music review), Hindi – Raghu Dixit

Raghu’s audacious South Indian dappanguthu-style rhythm in Dheaon dheaon is bloody catchy and ably supported by Anvita corny, ingenious lyrics! Uh-oh‘s minimal orchestration helps bring to fore Ash King and Shilpa Rao’s vocals, even though it follows a tried and tested banter-style romantic template. Much like how Choo le treads familiar Indian inspirational rock territory. It’s in Baatein shuru that Raghu shines; lovely tune, imaginative guitar and wonderful singing by Joi and Shefali Alvares. Raghu’s older song, Har saans continues to impress, but seems odd in this soundtrack. Listenable soundtrack that doesn’t fully do justice to Raghu’s superb southern repertoire!
