Love Express (Music review), Hindi – Jaidev Kumar

Posted by Karthik

Rocking shocking family, despite blatantly reusing Jaidev’s own incredibly popular track’s – Jassi’s Dil le gayee Gujarat di – format and rhythm, still makes for a catchy listen. Dance like a Punjabi has a massy, Pritam’ish outlook, more so because of Neeraj Sridhar’s lead vocals, but it is foot-tapping, no doubt. Tere bin jiya na jaye‘s simple, soulful melody perhaps needed Shafqat’s vocals and Gulshan fills the void only minimally. Narinder Singh Lucky’s Mohe machli is the surprise package – a haunting ghazal, brilliantly sung and orchestrated! Neat little soundtrack from a composer who deserves to go mainstream in Bollywood.
