Ainvayi ainvayi cleverly avoids the Punju-dance template and carries funky arrangements that complement its tune. Baari barsi is not so clever and falls into the tame Punju-dance trap. With Benny and Salim’s vocals, and a captivating sound, Tarkeebein is the soundtrack’s highlight! Aadha ishq has a honey-coated hook, but is predominantly predictable, while Dum dum could be mistaken for a Himesh song! Mitra is a winner though – lovely rock ballad’ish sound and fabulous vocals by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The short title piece is a passably catchy medley. As usual, Salim Sulaiman nail the sound brilliantly; the tunes work only occasionally.
