With its Viju Shah’ish item sound, Isak se meetha is surprisingly un-Pritam’ish, dated and predictable. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan gets badly stereotyped…yet again, in Man ki mat and Sasural munia is utterly bana. Sukhwinder Singh’s Ramkatha has Ramayan-dialoguebaazi for some situation in the film, that’s it. If the soundtrack has a redeeming factor, it is Saude bazi! With two versions – by Anupam Amod and Javed Ali, this is a delectable ghazal-like melody with a strange retro-tuned persistent chorus and a velvety tune, and even the occasional oriental interlude! Thanks to Saude bazi, Pritam saves his face and Aakrosh’s soundtrack!
