Music review: Bolo Raam (Hindi – Sachin Gupta)

Do dil hai jawan is momentarily catchy, with a fast, feet-friendly sound and some groovy music; doesn’t stick really but. Sukhwinder Singh is in a pensive mood in Maa tere jaisa and most of the credit for that goes to Ajay Jhingran’s lyrics – tune-wise, however, it is rather sedate, barring mild interest generated by the middle-eastern sounding interludes. The three-song soundtrack belongs clearly to Sunidhi Chauhan’s Tere ishq mein; wonderful tune with a hauntingly addictive chorus, as the music weaves without obstructing the vocals. Sachin Gupta shows promise in flashes and Tere ishq mein is definitely one of them!
