RDB’s title song is noisy and catchy in true reggaeton sense while Xulfi’s Dadke jiya is the extreme opposite – fairly competent melody with likeable arrangements. RDB’s other contribution, Boliyaan (Giddha) merely reuses assorted folk tunes. Vipin Mishra’s version of the title song is nonsensical, as silly as yet another version titled, ‘Life is a sizzling aloo chaat’ composed by Mehfuz Mahruf. For all the promise the promo held, Aloo Chaat’s music is a dud, barring that minor relief from Xulfi – multiple composers is such a bad idea! With a title like that, here goes the cliché – stale chaat!
