Mukhbiir (Hindi – Pritam, Karthik Raja & Shashi Pritam)

Tu salaamat is predictable, with everything you’d expect from Pritam, in a been-there wrap. Sandeep Chowta’s Jeena, with his fave Sonu Kakkar singing in her usual, non-chalant style is no great shakes either. Telugu composer Shashi Pritam’s Dhoonde dil – unfortunately sung by Hariharan – is messy and meanders all over. Karthik Raja re-enters Bollywood with two tracks – Tere bina, his standard, ambient, now-outdated fare and Piya mera banjaara, with a middling, forced, techno-folk feel. Mukhbiir’s producers have been intelligent enough not to extend the money back policy for the soundtrack – the cash outflow may be quite high!

Keywords: Mukhbir Kartik Raja, Kartikraja, Sameer Dattani, Sunil Shetty, Om Puri, Rahul Dev, Raima Sen, Sushant Singh

Note: Sony BMG goofs yet again, after their monumental goof in Khuda Ke Liye’s OST. Karthik Raja’s two tracks are listed with no singing credits. For an international label of Sony BMG’s stature, this is unpardonable.
