Devika and Pralay’s ‘Ek kaagaz’ is touted by Faith Records as India’s first online advertising supported single. The song’s makers offer the song as a free mp3 (uploaded in Rapidshare, of all the places!) and intend to cover expenses/ make profit via advertising in the web page. Pralay’s composition is decent, nothing worth raving about – much like his vocals. Devika too seems out of place with vocals that do not live up to the song’s melody. The production values are pretty good – for an online-only venture. Full marks for the interesting idea – zero for the actual content!
