Hero (Music review), Hindi – Sachin-Jigar, Amaal Malik, Meet Bros Anjjan & Jassi Katyal

Posted by Karthik

Amaal’s two songs – Main hoon hero and O Khuda – are engaging, and Armaan sings it with the right feel. In Main hoon’s other version, Amaal performs musical-photoshop on Salman Khan’s vocals. Jassi Katyal’s Yadaan teriyaan is maudlin, dated pathos. Meet Bros Anjjan’s Dance ke legend is loaded with every stock bit imaginable, on a banal tune. Of Sachin-Jigar’s two songs, Khoya khoya is a rather Pritam’ish melody, well led by Mohit Chauhan, set to enchanting music, while Jab we met is a lilting reggae-meets-Punjab package well sung by Benny and Shalmali. Sachin-Jigar and Amaal Malik prop this Hero.

The Hero film is a romantic action, music of this film was good and got
the positive response. The song sung by Salman khan was nice.

Jab We Met seems to have taken the beginning portions from a song called “Stuck Like Glue”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iDPw_qjhtM

To be fair, the catchy hook seems to be original, but disappointed that Sachin-Jigar are falling into the plagiarism camp.
