Akaash Vani (Music review), Hindi – Hitesh Sonik

Posted by Karthik

Sunidhi sounds completely out of sorts alongside KK in Pad gaye ji – the tune itself sounds like that of an 80s college band’s debut! Crazy Lover‘s lyrics are crazy and the tune is no different; Vishal Dadlani’s enthusiastic singing that saves the song, marginally. Thankfully, Nikhil D’Souza’s John Denver’esque ballad, Bas main aur tu (and its reprise) hits the bull’s-eye – gorgeously whispery! With its MJ’ish outlook, Rumani too is neat; Thomson Andrews and Shalmali Kholgade ace the vocals! Shafqat’s Tera mera naam ends the soundtrack on a sedate, middling note. Mixed bag from Hitesh Sonik, but for the 2 standouts!
