Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (Music review), Telugu – Mickey J Meyer

Posted by Karthik

Yem cheddaam is a harmoniously sung track where the lyrics blend in brilliantly with the energetic tune! Aaraduguluntada is wonderfully pleasant, thanks largely to Kalyani’s singing, while Chitra rules over the dreamily tuned title song! Mari antaga has Mickey template written all over – rhythmic, but vastly familiar. Vaana chinukulu depends solely on stock rhythms to sound good in a predictable manner, while Meghaallo is a grand song that gets its chorus pitch-perfect. The soundtrack’s best is Inka cheppaale, an unbelievably simple tune but has lyrics timed with the rhythms to great effect! Peaceful and generally amiable music from Mickey!

What’s it with your dislike towards DSP’s music? His ‘damarukam’ was outstanding. He is a perfect director’s composer, good directors like Sukumar know how to extract good music from him.

  • Awesome songs by mickey……..title song, mari antaga aaradugulu and meghallo stand out as of now…….

outstanding album from mickey .except vana and arudugulu ,every other song is perfect. i am sure ,he will definitely get a couple of big offers with the movie.(already title track is unanimously top song of the year),have u heard it completely ?,u didnt speak abt amazing music of the song.

instead of most music directors tamil or any other feel ,the two marriage songs have coastal andhra touch.and entire album sounds genuinely classy native soundtrack.

Interestingly, the trademark sound of MJM was clealy in lesser proportions within SVSC (Inka Cheppaale ,Aaraduguluntada, Vaana Chinukulu were so ‘DSP’ish)..maybe coz this is not a youngster flick. Or is this MJM’s migration to embrace a more conventional mould?
Title track worked the best for me followed by Meghallo..
