Murder 2 (Music review), Hindi – Harshit Saxena, Mithoon, Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur

Posted by Karthik

Hale dil by Harshit Saxena seems like a good enough tune complete with a Pritam-styled humming phrase, but that incongruent rhythm and Harshit’s own vocals jar. Its acoustic version fares much better, in comparison. Of the two songs by Sangeet & Siddharth Haldipur, Aa zara is the one that scores with superlative vocals by Sunidhi, while Tujhko bhulaana, despite that pulsating arrangement, has an uninspiring tune. Mithoon’s Aye khuda and Phir mohabbat are templatized from the young composer’s standard, pensive melodies and offer nothing new, though the latter is a decent listen indeed. Three composers and a largely underwhelming soundtrack.
