Music review: Main Aurr Mrs Khanna (Hindi – Sajid Wajid)

Posted by Karthik

Don’t say alvida is sweet, sappy and very 90s – that Hinglish title is immensely cringe-worthy. Happening, to be entirely fair, has quite a likeable techno-qawali sound…if only it didn’t ape Kajrare so blatantly. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s Rabba only helps in stereotyping the singer, with a predictable pathos tune that sounds completely jaded. Tum ne socha tries really hard to be a nice little love ballad, but is plain banal, while Mrs. Khanna seems made for Salman, for his non-dance moves and its silly bhangra dhol that is adequately irritating. Stale wine in new bottle, from the Salman-bhakth composers.

Keywords: Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Govinda, Preity Zinta

Another boring album for a Salman Khan film. When will Sajid Wajid stop working with Salman, Karthik ?

Tum Ne Socha’s background orchestrations sounds similar to Every Breath You Take (The Police)

    Karthik..pls review A R Rahman’s Latest soundtrack

Blue is amazing, Rahman is in full experimental mode, seems like he had tons of fun composing this one.

  • Dont say Alvida sounds very similar to Suraj Hua Maddham from K3G, same singer too-Sonu Nigam!

  • nakhrekartekarte

Don’t say Alvida has shades of Urvashi Urvsashi from HHM!!! Listen to it for yourselves!

Anyways, I thought it was S-W best work after a long long time. Don’t Say Alvida, despite the influences, is a nice song. Same with Tum Ne Socha. Happening is catchy even tho it’s clearing ripping of kajare/tumse milke dil. Rabba/Mrs. Khanna is okay.

mrs khanna seems to be aping pretty woman from kal ho na ho.tum ne socha ‘s background is definetly inspired by the police song.dont say alvida is good.consider partner as their best job till date.

They are surely biggest Salman-bhakths, I can totally understand Salman being their mentor in the industry. But I wonder what has made Salman a Sajid-Wajid Bhakth?? Why he prefers/refers them over many other better MDs for his projects??
Except Happening..nothing is “really happening” in this album.
