Music review: Teree Sang (Hindi – Sachin-Jigar, Anu Malik & Bappi Lahiri)

Posted by Karthik

Bappi’s Miss Baabaloo is pitiably stupid while the middling Paki rock he attempts in Tere bin is noticeably better. Anu Malik raps inconsolably in Laal quile while his Chal mera haath pakad is irritating. If the soundtrack still survives it’s because of debutants, Sachin-Jigar! I will be there for you is effervescent with sparkling guitar, while Morey saiyan and Maula mila round off the Paki rock style much more confidently than Bappi. Rab milya is strikingly Lucky Ali material – pleasant and heartfelt, and in Leja leja, Jahnvi makes an assured debut, along with the imaginative orchestration. Impressive debut by Sachin-Jigar!

I agree, there is a strikingly similarity with the beats between the two songs. Does Pathsaala have commercially loops? Perhaps Anu Took from the same source?

This is such a great album!!! all the songs are wonderful, except I hate Laal Quile and Miss Babaloo, terrible songs! My favorite is Leja Leja, Morey Saiyan, Tere Bin, Chal Haath Mera (I heard this song two years ago on Indion Idol and feel in love with it back then! Never thought it would release). I’m more-so impressed with Sachin Jigar! Amazing songs from them!

ROFL@ Anu Malik trying to pull a Blaaze (in Hindi). Definitely modelled on Paathshala!

Sachin-Jigar impress on debut. Morey Saiyan is the pick of the lot for me.

splendid effort by the debutants…and whatsay about updating itwofs on Anu Malik’s more than inadvertant mistake!

Sachin-Jigar definitely impress. I feel its Pritam meets Salim-Sulaiman kind of sound, yet very original. These guys will go a long way. Leja Leja, I will be there for you & Rab Milya are my favorites.
Bappi’s Tere bin is surprisingly good. Anu Malik’s both the tracks are trash, surprised y they were retained. Laal quile sure sounds like generic version of paathshala. Its as generic and as bad as those duplicate products made by USA.
