Taare Zameen Par (Hindi – Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy)

Posted by Karthik

The trio treat Prasoon’s adorable words extraordinarily well in the title song – glittering music and a truly effervescent tune flow. Raman Mahadevan’s guitar-led Kholo takes the feel further, Shankar pitching in that neat chorus. Aamir’s gibberish opens Bum bum bole as Shaan takes over the immensely catchy ditty. Prasoon surfaces again in the elegant Maa, the trio’s graceful tune & music imbibing the words very favorably. Bheja kum and Jame raho are largely situational while Shailendra Barve’s Mera jahan sounds preposterous given its kids’ chorus’ish ambitions! The trio revel in Aamir’s sensibilities to produce a refined soundtrack for adults!

Keywords: Aamir Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendoca, Prasoon Joshi, Poor Amole Gupte

is raman mahadevan related to shankar from the trio ??

I was wondering the same thing. Incidentally, while searching for this info, stumbled upon his debut album (called ‘Ramanasia) that he has released online.

You can sample the songs from his Myspace page. I heard them, liked them and bought them from SoundBuzz. Planning a review shortly – have sent him a couple of questions on composing and other credits. Hopefully should get them soon so I can upload the review soon. Good album, btw!

Does dis album has any Ishaan’s – Theme in it? Or did I miss it?

  • Karthik

It does have a ‘Ishaan’s theme’. Unless I’m terribly impressed I usually do not comment on remixes and theme tracks.

    Ah! Okay 🙂

Also, it supposed to be “have” n not “has” 🙁

The starting of Maa seems to be slightly inspired from R.Kelly’s “I believe I can Fly”. Thoughts Karthik?
